Stainless Steel Rice Cooker
Model ST-888

Our price: $119.95

  • 11 cups
  • Uses steam to cook evenly from all sides
  • This multi-purpose rice cooker can also be used for stewing and steaming
  • Temperature control switch is accurate and needs no adjustment
It is able to save one-fifth of the electrical power used

This rice cooker has a stainless steel interior pot for cooking, unlike other rice cookers that use teflon, plastic or metal.

Does this rice cooker have a "keep warm" setting?
yes, just adjust dial to keep warm

What kind of warranty does the rice cooker have?
one year free parts and labor and 3 years for free labor for repairs

Notes:
The inner lid is only used as a lid to keep food warm when the inner pot is taken out. You cannot use the inner lid as a lid inside the cooker, otherwise the rice cookers outer lid will not close. However, if you flip the inner lid, it duals as a steaming plate. it will fit perfectly on the inner pot. So for example, you can cook rice in the inner pot, and at the same time, steam vegetable on the steam plate. Or you can use the steam plate to re-heat cold food or leftovers while you are cooking rice (or something else) in the inner pot. Re-heating food this way will take longer than a microwave, but it is healthier. **You can only do this when you cook 4 or less cups of rice in the inner pot.

You can also cook rice in the steam plate, up to a max of 2 cups of rice. If you are not serving a lot of people, you can stew soup or cook something else in the inner pot while you cook the rice in the steam plate. ** Remember if you are using the steam plate, keep the food in the inner pot under the "7" mark.

Instructions to make Brown Rice:

Rinse rice well.
Soak brown rice in water at least 2 hours, or overnight.

Place in inner container of rice cooker, add plenty of water according to the instruction booklet.

Plug in, push the button and go do something else for an hour.
When the button pops up, as with any rice, allowing rice to sit for a few minutes will help.
Do not remove cover unnecessarily but you might want to check for tenderness before bringing it to the table.
